I don't know how anyone can go to houzz.com and view anything. What I get is the entire page covered with the option to sign in through Facebook or sign up through email. I can get no where. If I click on a topic like kitchens at the top it goes to a page that again has a huge sign in banner across the page. I suspect some may be automatically getting in because they have Facebook. Even if I click on a link someone posts to view the page can not be viewed due to the login banner. I just get so turned off by things like that, makes me not interested in the effort. If they let me look around there's a very good chance I would join but not that way. Not getting another app for something I can't view. Got the email.

Harry - All's forgiven. You've always been one of my favorite curmudgeons. ;) Just a note to everyone about the worry about rights and ownership of content. Houzz's terms of use is really no different than most websites -- it's pretty standard boilerplate language. GardenWeb's terms were nearly identical. Basically, it means that you will always own your photos, but if you post them on the site, Houzz has the right to use them. Some of you might remember a similar brouhaha when NBC acquired GW. I know that it sounds a bit scary, but it really isn't. GardenWeb would feature photos on Facebook or in FAQs or on the side rail of the site. That eye candy is what hooks people! ;) Also, search engines - like Google - are pretty efficient. They have robots that crawl sites and index information constantly and that's why you will see your photos out there so quickly. GardenWebbers have always been so generous in sharing your knowledge and photos and I hope that you'll continue to help others in this way.

Re fonts and bullets, I haven't gotten those (desktop) to work right, yet, but I did notice just now that when I manually put in numbered paragraphs it didn't try to automatically format half of it. :) That's an improvement. Tamara, if the link thing is an artifact of the add-ons, rather than something going on at GzzW, I don't really care. :) If I remember when I have time to fool around with it, I'll give it a try to give you some answers.

Why is it mindblowing that some people are not physically addicted to their phones? There are more people every day who are switching back to dumbphones because they found themselves way too addicted to their phones. To demand that the entire world comply with what smartphone users want is childish, IMHO. There are millions of sites online that don't even have apps. You're lucky this one is trying to make one that works. App creation on an existing site is more difficult than building a site so that it automatically complies with mobile. This site isn't even responsive, for goodness sake, so that makes it that much more difficult to make the page fit into a phone screen without losing a lot. They want you to be able to use it, but still see the ads. I imagine those who pay for a pro account would be pretty upset if their ads weren't visible on your phone. If they're going to cater to anyone, it's going to e their paying pro users.
