Key limes can be finicky and ours produced tons of fruit sevral times during the year but it would produce well one year and then take a year off and come back strong the next year. Our Meyers lemon took over the yard and we had so many lemons it was not funny. The Hamlin produced well one year little the next and tons the next. The Valencia and Ruby Reds produced tons yearly. The sour orange produced well year after year. The honey tangerine took forever to fruit but when it began fruiting it produced yearly. It took time for some of them to mature and then you just have to learn your trees and know their cycle. Some of ours just fruited heavily and then rested the next year. We always had fruit though and it was so nice to walk outside and pick a fresh grapefruit for breakfast or oranges to make orange juice and lemons or limes whenever you needed them. Now I am attempting to grow citrus in containers and it is taking time but things will pay off down the road. Linda

Hi Melanie! Thanks for the update! I like it when you fill us in on what you've been up to, because you're one of the few KT members I've actually met. I'm so glad you're finally getting close to your career goal. That's been a long haul, and you are to be commended on your progress. You really have come a long way. I agree with what's been said here. Have fun with this new guy, but keep some space between you two until you get a lot further along in your career, and until you know him a whole lot better. This is not the time to go "off track". I agree his dad sounds like a charmer, and that always makes me suspicious. That's just me, though. I just want you to succeed, have fun doing it; and not get hurt.

Rhizo, I'm in my early 30's (born in the 80's) so not too young. I have never watched a preacher on TV and I have not spent much time in church. My family, friends and community are not religious, or at least not to the point it ever comes up in conversation. I've heard of Joel Osteen though if that helps! Mostly from the internet and from when someone gave my mom a book of his. I was puzzled as neither she nor the gift giver were religious but then I saw the middle was carved out and it held some products for my mom to use in her cancer battle! Back before it was legal in many states. I know how you feel though. I was talking to a 21 year old friend and he had no idea who Whitney Houston was. I couldn't understand how someone in the US and born in the 90's had never even heard of her so I guess it's all relative.

You can do that with cell phones so it should be possible with all phones. If you use DND on your cell phone you can allow only callers in your contacts to call through - although I don't know if it allows messages from others. I'll have to check. eta, it does look like other callers can leave a message when you're in DND and allow only your contacts to reach you.
