Thanks for thinking of me, jasdip. I am doing better today but all I want to do is sleep. I can swallow and my headache has gone away. Still coughing. Feel overall lousy. I appreciate all the good wishes sent my way last night.

I just got up a little while ago and put some potato soup on to cook. That was my Mom's version of a cure all. I'll have it over a slice of bread.

Well I am sitting here in the RV just watched the sun go down over the river and have no idea what we will have for dinner but I am so happy to be here I don't care. My guess is we will have either hot boudin or ham and cheese sandwiches.
Tomorrow my sister is making us a big pot of seafood Gumbo so I need to save up room lol.

Shirley I sure hope you are doing better really soon.

Get well wishes from me too. I'm having bean with bacon soup, buttered sourdough, cherry tomatoes and of course, Coke !

We made a quick chicken/veggie/rice soup with the remains of a roasted chicken from yesterday.

Also sampled those sausage balls I made for him to take to work this morning. I decided to go with a standard recipe but added some finely chopped jalapeno.

It must have been a good day for soup with so many having it -- I made turkey vegetable. :)

Rhizo, there isn't much that a jalapeno can't make better! :)

Shirley, glad you're doing better.... it sounds a lot like what my sister in Mass. said she just went through.

jasdip, I'll bet the sauce is great. :) Could have been worse... BF decided to sprinkle some garlic-salt in sauce once and the wide-mouth flap opened inadvertently and dumped at least 1/4 cup. :p

I am in South Louisiana but no sun today, well it was shining this morning but now it's raining and is supposed to rain all day tomorrow too.
But I didn't mind because the Gumbo was incredible and so was the potato salad.
Tonight we are going out to have giant boiled shrimp!
