Exterior paint color for house with stone facade
Comments (1)I am just a lowley paper hanger and painter but I would focus on picking out the redish color of the stone....See MoreWhat to do about ugly stone facade.
Comments (22)Okay then lets just do some painting of trim and door. Your roof is a good neutral (I think ours is the same color, actually). I highly recommend getting some guy with a pressure washer in for the day...have him do the house AND the driveway. And (so sorry, I know you didn't ask!) I also think that edging your driveway will probably make you very very happy. It does me. I'm thinking that there is an mcm house here, somewhere...and you need a bright front door (turquoise?) Get rid of the orange bush...it looks like you have an old retaining wall under the awning. I would rip that out and fill with stones and a couple of artsy rocks... Trim I initially thought a dark grayish brownish (that's so technical, right??). But I'm afraid that might look like a square that's been outlined...so I might go light for the trim...Perhaps there are some features that you can paint the darker color? I can't tell due to the shrubs and the photos... Hang in there! It will be an utterly smashing little house... :) And congratulations!...See MoreExterior paint 1970's stone facade accent and garage questions
Comments (5)Yes. Maybe medium gray on the roof. As for the paint, all the houses on my street that have been repainted recently are various shades of grey. I was hoping to not be exactly like everyone else which is why the shade of blue. We are in the western half of Washington state so generally mild weather with clouds but we don't have AC so maybe not such a dark roof. I agree gray would be the better choice though. (Although smoky summers might mean we need to consider getting AC.)...See MoreIdeas for Updating Our Front Exterior Home Facade?
Comments (12)Love the house. A definite yes to the squared up columns. There is so much garage door expanse (three car garage--fantastic!!) that I would maybe consider painting them or changing out to blend more with house. Landscaping refresh. Front door really does look fine, but if it's not in great condition and you're looking for a change, I would switch to one center door with sidelites. Congrats on your new home!...See Morepalimpsest
