And I don't know why I asked for grams. My question could just as easily have been "how many ounces equal a cup of cake flour?" My handy-dandy scale will measure either.

No, Annie, this isn't the same camping that you do. A lot of the cooking is, though. We used to tent camp all the time and loved it. Heard and watched racoons raiding our cooler and grabbing the marshmallows the neice left out. Stuck in a tent with a huge dog during a terrible storm with lots of high winds and lightening and all the other memorable times. Now, I am nearing 70 and DH isn't far behind. With the physical problems we have, we've had to make adjustments in life and the tent camping days are over for me. We've tried, but it just isn't something I can do any longer. Happy memories, but just not able to do it anymore so I stick with the physical things I can still do like gardening. As I said, DH is younger and still is able to do it, but I don't think for too much longer. He is going to do some of the Appalachian Trail in a month or so since it has been a dream of his. I will be his restocking source at different trailheads for as long as he can keep it up. We'll see how much of it he can do. I support him 100%. I would have tried to do part of it, but he's strongly against it. With my health issues, I'd have a heart attack or stroke very soon after starting. I really wish I could, but I just do what I can and I know that is beyond my capabilities. I don't look so broken, but I am and it can't be fixed. I guess what you would call our camping is the closest we can get to the olden day's camping and we do spend a lot of time doing easier (for me) hiking at the different places we go. Oh, and as much as DH has been the extreme outdoor person for most of his life, he's the one that doesn't want to do the campfire cooking. He says its too much trouble. Eeesh! I had to coerce him into getting me the smoker I wanted for last Christmas. Anyway, the next time you go camping, think of me and how I'd love to be there with you doing the same things, the same ways.

I found some instructions online...I'll give you a link. But I didn't do mine like the instructions. To start off I took the middle blue piece and sewed like a finger out of a glove then stuffed a little of the scrap insid it. Then I cut a piece of the white long enough to wrap around the finger (+ 1/4 inch seam on each side) and wide enough to reach almost to the top of the finger and back down again after being folded. (after it is folded it should be almost as high as the finger) The next piece is blue and I followed the same directions as above. When the piece is folded it should wrap around , have 1/4 inch for seam on each end) and be almost as tall as the white. I did that until it was as fat as I wanted it to be..the put the folded cuff part on the outside so it would look like the cup cake paper. I ended up with five "sleeves" and the outer "cup cake paper" Trim them to be even at the bottom...(or tuck it up inside) Then I made loose stitch in the bottom of the "cup cake paper sleeve" and pulled it. Kind of gathering it so it wrapped around the bottom I took a piece of cardboard and cut a circle to fit bottom,but a little smaller. Then cut a piece of the sweater that match the outside a little larger than the circle. Tucked the edges of the sweater around the circle of cardboard and hand stitched the covered circle to the bottom of the "cake". The bottom of my "cake" is about two inches across. Thanks, ladies, for your comments on the cup cakes. The round top smooth blue with white ribbon was done when a customer asked for a cupcake that looked like a Tiffany box, so she tried different tints until she came up with that one. Then she did the blue square box "just because." She enjoys a challenge. The other blue one is "hydrangea" and I think that one is super beautiful. I have watched Cup Cake wars a couple times and just watching it makes me nervous; can't imagine what the contestants are going through. She has mentioned shipping, but not ready for that yet. She has done a few wedding cakes. Actually her DH is an amateur, but very good, photographer, and they together have done several weddings, including all the refreshments.
