Yaaaa for us!! That is a pretty cool statue and Casey, your bird is beautiful. Is it a junco? We get those here in southern Ohio, but only in the winter.

Mine is a gingerbread peep. My sister-in-law sent them to me for Christmas. Though I thought they were very, very cute, I was very intimidated by the smell and thought they wouldn't taste good, but I was very pleasantly surprised at how good they were - after the required many weeks of exposure so they harden up just right. I do love me some peeps. LOL

I don't recall having ever seen a Golden Digger Wasp, even though they have been recorded near here. Or maybe I just never have gotten a close enough look at one to id it. I'll keep an eye out, now that I know the id points to notice!

The King family refused to allow use of his "likeness" without payment of what I think wound up as a 6 figure licensing fee. It was a case of outrageous greed. I support the recognition of him and what he did but I'm sorry someone with a clearer head wasn't in a position to pull the plug on completing the monument. You got it, Nichole. My frog has seen all sorts of weather, but he was peeking out of the snow and begging for someone to take a picture. The corn was for the doves. They only come to be fed when there is snow on the ground and I want to thank them for all the summer evenings they share their voices.

MM, I thought it was just a cute little gingerbread man cookie, but it's actually a gingerbread-flavored marshmallow peep?! wow. I'd let that baby harden a LONG time. lol!

LOL Party, that's what I thought too. Yep, it is a peep. Once it was hard, it was pretty good, I have to say.

Thanks for the summer-ish pictures too. It does feel good to look at them and know it won't be too long until we will see those plants and flowers again.

I have a stash of Easter Peeps 'aging' in the bread drawer. Dh discovered them just last week. Thought it was something I didn't know about. Like I would forget such a thing! Actually I like them either very fresh or very old. It is about time to open the box.

I missed the gingerbread peeps somehow. Guess I just didn't know enough to look for them.

Gazania, you tickle me!! LOL I think you hold the record for "ageing" peeps!! I could never last that long. LOL

I haven't seen the gingerbread peeps either. My sister-in-law lives in California, so maybe they were just in their markets? I don't know. Of course, I wasn't shopping for them at Christmas, so they could have been there. They were cute though.

Party I love your shot of the green plants. I like greenery much more than flowers. I realized that when I went to the rainforest, wonderfully calm and peaceful. I think that is why the natives are so laid back. Dogs won't even move when you walk on them in the dark. LOL
