Are they *true* antiques, determined to be 75-100'years old, or more like vintage? Was it her parent's furniture? If that's the case what you have may be genuine antiques, depending on the age of your aunt. I'm 74,and have a few pieces of jewelry which were my mother's when she was a girl, so am quite sure they are antique. What's unfortunate is many people, especially younger(under 40)do not like antiques, no matter what the value. It might also matter what the era of the furniture is, which would pertain to the style as well as the color of the stain. I'm not personally fond of Victorian since it's usually more ornate as well as too dark for my taste, nor do I care for American antiques, but prefer French, even reproductions. What people don't realize is antiques can be mixed in with new things, and actually give a space/room more interest. It doesn't matter if the stain(wood)doesn't match other furniture in the room, that's 'old' thinking. lol Matchy matchy isn't important. You might even decide to keep a few pieces in memory of your aunt.

Similar to mine also -- in my small house I have Behr Navajo White on the walls (in living, dining, upper hall and one bedroom) which is a soft yellow or yellow-beige, depending on the room and time of day; one bedroom is a Glidden soft sage green; another is a deeper, more caramel-y yellow. I have sage green curtains in the living and dining and a terracotta- ish (tends more coral -- has more pink than a terracotta pot), yellow and tan rug; The sofa is a greenish brown or brownish green. The floors are natural red oak. The colors all produce a warm but calm effect and since they aren't really vivid, they read fairly neutral and flow together. I have other small color accents as well -- in artwork, lamp, pillows. For major colors I think the 4 that I have are the max that can work --IMO. I've not read Maria Killam but have seen multiple positive mentions here, so I would check out her blog for sure.
