selecting against washing maching drain pump jammers, solutioning

HI All

Troublingly frequent incident here with coins left in pants when washing clothes subsequently jamming washing machine's drain pump. Requiring draining unit and removing pump top to extract fried dime.Often spilling out on floor in the process.

Question in mind for resolving this oversight by operator:

Is there a standard design of machine that can tolerate this user misoperation? I see that certain front loaders have the clean out door. Should I assume that if the unit is a front loader AND has a cleanout door that the dimes will be caught withing the compartment preventing such a reoccurring scenario as am trying to avoid?

Are front loader machines the only style that contain an easy access cleanout? Maybe some common top loaders model have a catch basin/filter/mechanism , which I would love to know the make and model since probably more affordable.

Any advice and or comments is greatly appreciated.

thank you in advance
