I think you got it, Petaloid! Thanks again for the second try. When you said it was "Poppy", I took a look at my American Rose Society book and saw a rose called "Poppy Flash" aka "Rusticana" that looks awfully like my rose. I wonder if "Poppy" is the same rose as "Poppy Flash".

I agree that President Herbert Hoover is a good "candidate," and would also suggest Talisman, Signora and Sutter's Gold as popular older hybrid teas with similar coloration. This is the second rose. It is dark pink in colour, very fragrant large size flowers. - Bush height is around 4 feet. It is atleast a 3 years old plant. - As it can be seen in pics, the bud is dark pink, the flowers opens up dark pink but with every passing day, starts getting lighter in shade. - Strong traditional rose fragrance. - The bush is flowering profusely, as you can see in the pics. - Petal count is 34-38 (average of four flowers). - Flower size is 3.5-4". Please help me identify this rose. regards
