Managing TBR titles without a tower

I just read the Tottering TBR thread. Many good titles listed there to add to my own TBR list. However, I do not keep a lot of books in my house. I am fortunate to live within a short walk of a wonderful library, so I let the books live there rather than in my house. I generally have a pile of five or six library books at hand.

I am interested to hear how others manage their TBR list when it is not a tower of books. I am forever coming across interesting titles. When I volunteer at the library, I jot them down on the back of an unused catalog card (remember them?). If I am reading the paper, I jot them down on a scrap or the back of an envelope. In any case, these notes inevitably get lost. Has anyone come up with a good method for listing books you'd like to read?

I do use Goodreads, which is okay, but maybe there is a better way. What works for you?
