not getting in, but for some reason it has stopped remembering me and I have to log in repeatedly, even when I check the "remember me" box. And that note from weeks ago about lost threads is still popping up-have we not fixed that YET?

I have noticed something odd that is new. I clear my cache each time I logon or logoff so I have to enter my name and password each day. Well, until I do so, everyone's name and (My Page) at the top of each message are a pale, pale color so faint it can hardly be read. Then once I logon, they return to the normal bright blue. This is new. It's only been doing this for a few weeks. Peculiar.

It turns out that Mozilla Firefox is the problem for me, when I use my daughter's MAC like now, i have no problem. i have missed this site- there isn't anything quite like it.

I have Firefox also but have no problems getting into the site. I skip the longer threads anymore, however, since they load up very slowly and in a herky-jerky way.

I find the long threads load much quicker if I click on the address, go to the end of it, and then hit enter.

Carolyn, I don't understand. How do you go to the end when it hasn't loaded up? I'd love a trick to speed up the long threads.

Go to the end of the address, not the thread.

Carolyn, thank you for the explanation. It just makes my threads reload, starting the whole tedious process again.

Sorry! On my PC, as soon as the address loads and I hear a little click, I can highlight the address, hit End to make the blue go away, then hit Enter, and the thread loads very quickly.
