I love wintersowing! Lol. I tried it this winter but with very old seed and got okay results. I can't wait until next year when I try with fresh seed. My parents aren't very rational sometimes. If they have their minds set on me not putting on a fan for seedlings, they're going to stick to their guns. If one reason they give for me not having a fan is made void, they'll come up with another, and another... Yes. It is pretty odd. But it's a whooooolllleee other issue that no one would want to get into here! As per my original post, I have tried chamomile tea, cinnamon, hydrogen peroxide and other home remedies but no luck. I have heard of No Damp but haven't tried it yet. It'll probably be the next product that I try. I really wish I could find something systemic though that won't cost an arm and a leg. I can't afford to pay what commercial growers pay for Banrot and the other things they order for damping off.

Hi folks, Just wanted to stop by and assure you that we are working on these issues. Last week, we launched a new registration tool and there are still some bugs that are being ironed out. I know that it's frustrating and upsetting when things don't work as they should -- I really do feel your pain. Unfortunately, some of these bugs are difficult to recreate because they vary from member to member. What would be enormously helpful would be for you to contact us directly and detail what your issues are. Including information such as a step-by-step overview of your login process, where you are seeing issues, the error messages you are getting and anything else that might have differed from any previous login experiences. Many of you have probably already done this, but please make sure you check your browser settings and make sure that you have cookies enabled. If you would send this information to our contact link below, that would be extremely helpful. If you have specific questions or need something else, you are welcome to email us at the link below or contact me directly at any time -- my email is listed on my profile page. Thank you for your continued patience and support. Best regards, Tamara Amey GardenWeb Community Manager Here is a link that might be useful: Email Us

Once you're sure the level reads the same when turned around, lift the lower end until it reads level. That gap is the amount of space the lower end has to be moved upwards to make the thing level. It is possible to move this by hand force because pipes are not structural. Also, the higher end can be moved downwards. A piece of wood (e.g. about 18" long) can be used to both pull up the low side and push down the high side, without much effort. I'm assuming the movement will be a small fraction of an inch based on what you wrote in your first post. Before doing this, it is good to verify all the above and a few other assumptions I've made about the supply pipes being move-able within a small range. The installer can tell you more about the pipes and how much "give" they have. The installer can tell you what he did to anchor the faucet, or whether he expected the pipes to hold it entirely. If you told us about the pipes in the wall and the anchoring that was done, it might be possible to advise more. Without knowing anything more, it is not possible to say whether moving the faucet into position will loosen it or make it stay once moved, and whether the movement will be bad for the pipes or OK. hth

We have the old 70's aluminum windows, tall and skinny, so not a lot of light. When we had window companies come out, we didn't like the vinyl either, due to the "chunky" appearance letting in less light. I've gone to the Windows forum here on GW - they were very helpful, and recommended fiberglass windows. Those have the skinnier profile like aluminum. We're a few years away from replacing them - got to pay off some of this present remodel first. However, I live in the deep south, so the cold isn't really a problem -- it's the heat. We do have to keep the thermostat at 72 to keep it cool in here, but that's not too bad.
