Yes, I finished it a couple of weeks ago. It is bizarre, but I enjoyed it. In some unfathomable way, it reminded me of The Time-Traveler's Wife, but I liked it better. Not so mind-twisting, trying to keep things straight.

I read it about a month and a half ago and loved it. I was sorry to finish it because I wasn't ready for the story to end. It did remind me of The Time Traveler's Wife in some ways, but I never could put my finger on why it did.

Veer, the author is Keith Donohue, and it's his first novel if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, it is his first novel and Amazon.com was saying readers were "ga ga" over it.
That was a hook for me.

Although I am not "ga ga" so far, I am enjoying the idea of the story and find his insights fascinating in this strange premise.

Of course, bear in mind , I am coming off just having finished Margaret Atwood's THE BLIND ASSASSIN and that was a fantastic read!
So....perhaps I am a bit jaded.

I wanted to take this opportunity to say how much I loved the art on the dustjacket of this book. The front cover not only ties directly into the story, itÂs eye-catching and has a vividness and depth of color that is quite striking. The binding edge of the dustjacket is made to look like an old-fashioned hardcover. And the back cover art has the beautiful piano, which also ties directly into the story. Very well done, IMO.

I'm still waiting for my turn to come up at the library.

I've not read The Time Traveler's Wife, but wondered, based on the reviews of TSC I've read, if perhaps this book had any similarities to Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell? Has anyone here read both?

Just finished it in about a day (I went to bed much too late!), it was quite a compulsive read, enjoyed it a lot. Reminded me in some ways of Graham Joyce's The Facts of Life, although the latter is more joyful and far less dark.

What is it about the name "Henry"? It seems to be cursed with time warp issues. I think that is why I kept thinking of Time Trav'ers W.
