Can only comment on the paperwhites. Paperwhites are forced to bloom at a time that is out of sync for them and usually most people just recommend tossing them out. I've often held daffs and paperwhites for multiple years but be prepared they might not bloom except on alternate years. Eventually they probably will peter out and die off. They need to be fertilized while they have foliage on the plant to store energy for the next cycle. You don't have that opportunity so you might not get blooms this coming year. Paperwhites can't live outside in an area that experiences extended freezing temps - so if you get 32 or below, paperwhites stay in the pot. If you are borderline you can try it. To grow on in pots - they are dormant now so you repot them into new soil, preferably using a bulb fertilizer - I like Bulbtone, or bone meal. You can start watering lightly in the fall. They will throw out foliage and if they had enough energy stored in the bulb they will bloom. If not then they will just use the foliage to store energy again for next year. Its fun to try this, but you will have more guaranteed success by buying new bulbs. The basic rule of thumb is you need to fertilize during the active growth, and then don't water when they are dormant. You can search the net for specific info on your other bulb - sorry I don't know it. Good luck

Mel, that's the way I remember them from long ago, way back before I became a walking pharmacy. It looks to me like the culprit variety is ZIVA which is also the most common. There are other varieties reputed to have a more pleasant smell. Amazon (of all places) has a very large variety still available. I think next year I will try NIR or ARIEL or the Chinese Sacred Lily or maybe Grand Soleil D'or. I do very much like the scent of the normal daffodils (or at least I did once...) Currently it is below zero here in Minneapolis; so I am not going to chance ordering any bulbs in just now. IIRC one can also get Erlicher pre treated for planting outside this spring for this season's bloom.

Overdrive has two families of programs - its older stuff, which it refers to as "Overdrive Apps" are available in 6 flavors - for Apple mobile devices, for Android devices, for Kindles, for Macs, one described as being for "Windows 8&10" and another simply described as being for "Windows Desktop". These can be used for Ebooks and Audiobooks. The newest program family is called "Libby" and is for Apple Moblie (iOS) and Android devices only. All work just fine and continue to be supported. Their user interfaces vary. Because I download audiobooks to a PC and then transfer files to a small portable player, I use the PC version and find the Windows Desktop version to be more user friendly. For the rare occasions when I read ebooks, I check out the Kindle version when available and read it using a Kindle app on another device (as I don't have a Kindle). No Overdrive software is needed to do that because at checkout on the library site, you get redirected to your Amazon account which will then direct the download to the Kindle devices and Kindle apps you've registered for your account. .
