Gloria it's a flowering bush and hardy in your area. I probably sent you a varity of seeds. Some are solid white flowers, others are solid blue and the others are bluish purple with white edging. The seeds are very slow to germinate, at least for me but the plant is well worth it. They took almost 6 months to sprout. Just stick them in dirt and keep it slightly moist. Mine get full sun and bloom all summer. Once the blooms fade they get long clusters of "berries" that turn a golden yellow. Butterflies, birds and bees love them. Karyn

I drink a lot of coffee, 6-8 cups a day. The caffeine doesn't effect me. I can drink espresso right before bed. If going by what's locally available I like whole bean Green Mountain and Mayorga medium roasts. I also like roasting my own beans and get green coffee from Sweet Maria's. I use a hot air popcorn popper to roast the beans. It's a lot of trial and error till you get just the right roast but when you finally get it the coffee is very good. The downside is the smell if you happen to burn a batch of beans and the chaff from the beans fills the air. I always use a French press unless we have company and more then a few people want coffee. Tina civet coffee (poo beans) is one of the best I've ever tasted, extremely smooth and flavorful with absolutely no bitterness. If I could afford it I'd buy it but it's way out of my price range. A friend gave me a small bag. The best coffee I've ever had is in Europe and I don't think it has as much to do with the beans as the preparation. Cecil, i dont know if you keep any type of paper work where and when your tree's came from but if you do here are a few pictures of the parent tree with a few pairs of figs ripening. Im thinking your tree should have a more uniform ripeing of the figs and not as sporadic as mine due to our climate. I keep my own little paper work so i can remember the age and place of origin and the type of tree. This one just did not turn out to be what it was originally bought as. I didn't think I had any bob cats until I saw a dead one on the road by my mailbox a year or more ago. They are a beautiful animal. Someone took the body. I was going to get a picture when I got back from town and when I came home it was gone. It had really big feet and a spotted coat.
