Poisioned fish with nearby bush....?

Dear All

Hope you are all well.

After some research on the web I have found out Pieris Japonicus plants are in the highest category of poisionous plants to mammals. They are acid loving plants like Rhodedendron's which are also very poisionous. The leaves, flowers, and berries can cause severe convulsions burning in the mouth etc...

2 weeks ago we moved a Pieris next to the pond, shortly after the fish seemed to disappear. On inspection they were there but very scared. The plant has dropped a lot of the flowers into the pond over the last 2 weeks.

O M G what have I done?

Mark :-(
