Hi, is there such a thing as a pink or fuchsia colored cardinal flower? If yes pls let me know if you have any to trade. I don't have a list of seeds but have many perennials and veggie seeds to trade. thanks

Scott, enjoy your plant. Cherub is a nice plant and will give you lots of blossoms, probably a few this year. That is a pretty small plant for someone to be selling. If you had read the above you would have gotten a much nicer plant for less. We take care of each other here on GW. Join us for the fun and benefits. In the fall many of us give cuttings and seeds away for postage. That is an awefully nice way to get some really good varieties. Many of the varieties would cost quite a lot on Ebay or even more at a nursery. Most nurseries don't carry the really nice varieties, anyway. Bill

I do not have any pink varieties that bloom pink and remain pink(ish). As my pink blooms age, they turn (choose one or all) greenish, green/red/purple-ish, brownish and/or whiteish. An alternative worth thinking of because of your zone, is the Invincibelle Spirit Hydrangea arborescens, due in Spring 2010. The information being passed out says it blooms a hot pink color and ages to a different shade of pink.

What kind of height/width are you looking for? Do you prefer mopheads, lacecaps or either?
