Climbing Bean leaves turning yellow

I am relisting this email under the correct heading of diseases and pests category..

I am in Melbourne and growing two types of runner beans - Climbing Beans Vitalis and Climbing Beans Epicure. Both are being grown in wine barrels (that have holes in their bases for drainage) and both plants have been treated in exactly the same way. Firstly the leaves on the Vitalis turned yellow and this has now been followed with the leaves on the Epicure also turning yellow. I have had several flushes of beans off both plants but then the crop diminishes, then more or less stops altogether as the leaves turn yellow. Both plants have been water regularly, both plants have been given seasol on occasion. I have also sprayed the leaves with Espom Salts. Unfortunatley though, nothing seems to work. At this moment in time the Vitalis looks to be recovering as I can see new shoots appearing on the plant, whereas the Epicure (see photo) is in a current state of decline.
Any help would be appreciated
