I don't have the answer. I have a Tropica book. The pictures in it seem to back your descriptions of the difference. The plant I have clones of I have called E. ingens. It came without a name from a neighbor. I have never thought it was a E. ammak. My I.D. confusion was between E. ingens and E. candelabrum. Here is a poor mood shot I have on my screen. The shots I took today will not appear as I failed to note there was no card in the camera. This has the growth spurt summer/winter affect you mention in an old "tall Euphorbia" article you penned. The fruit are concentrated at the growth tips. They stay yellow and succulent. The spine shields are mostly small. New growth from the bottom has some mild variegation that goes away. The trunk becomes grey/brown and tree like as it matures.

How're everyone's Poissoniis doing? Great to see all the pictures. @tanpexoctics Willis, impressive! It's gotten huge and his pups look so healthy. Great job. How is he this year? I had to give my two poissoniis to friends last year when I moved. Was able to find a new guy though. He's in a 6 inch pot and not too big yet but seems happy in the all sun here in zone 11a (used to be 5b) Tan...I remember you repotting your guy. I'm debating whether to repot in a plastic container or a nicer ceramic/glazed pot like yours and pot him up a little bigger than he needs but make it mostly grit so I don't have to repot too soon. Tan, yours is in mostly grit from what I remember right? Think you said it likes water when it's sunny and warm out. This mix it came in dries very quickly on my deck. It only gets near 40 degrees here in Dec. Might be able to leave it outside without water if that's the case. Here's my new one-

Thanks, Embo, I was afraid of that. I’m glad I only got two. I might move the healthy one to my back bed ... it’s a much cooler spot and gets more shade. And I’ll hope for the best! I sure was excited to plant these, love the color and shape.
