I would recommend you use one part peat moss and two parts medium grade perlite. This will give you good aeration and water holding without becoming too wet as with potting mix.If you are going to have another go it would be best to remove the flowers/buds as they should be coming into flower soon but don't leave it for too much longer as the cooler weather will slow things down. Also use a medium hormone powder or liquid.

Follicle, if the material is right, generally Correa strike readily.

Thankyou justcorreas, I appreciate the help. I haven't got a hothouse. I have my cuttings on a sunny deck that is fairly sheltered. It gets morning and midday sun.

I did a few dozen cuttings a couple of weeks ago (a couple of weeks early) and so far they are mostly doing well. I used a mixture of peat and perlite. I placed the small pots in a large open-top plastic container and covered them with a plastic covered frame.

I did a lot of cuttings last year with low sucess rate but the ones that survived are ready to plant now but I'll wait till the weather gets cooler.
