I have them surrounding my yard and around the outside of my property along the road. They are very prolific. A friend had a small garden spot she wanted dug out. I took them all home, divided and planted. It has been maybe five years, I have divided them many many times over. They are a favorite with the walkers in my neighborhood. We are about two weeks out yet until they will be blooming.

So sorry you got such a reaction from wieslaw59. I have lots of doubles, especially in the pastel colors of pink, peachy pink, and cream. I love Vanilla Fluff, Snow Blizzard, Peggy Jeffcoat, Land of Cotton all gorgeous creams by Joiner. Scatterbrain, Scratch and Sniff, Jeweled Tiera, Sweeping Shadows, and Big Kiss are lovely peachy-pinks (Joiner's). I don't care for the purple daylilies much. Rebecca Marie is another Joiner that is one of favorites. I also have Siloam Dbl Classis, Country Music Queen. Castle Cotton Candy by Castleberry is a smaller bloom but it has the most flowers on it of anything I grow. Good Luck

FoxesEarth, I just love that daylily! (and combo). I've actually got the same 'white' daylily & lavender verbena combo, even with vinca! but I think its Joan Senior, along with another smaller pale yellow. This one is so much prettier and delicate, though. I, too, usually prefer the simpler forms, but this ruffle is just so delicate. We've got a double wild Tiger nearby and it is such a beauty. I've always loved just the simple, graceful daylily, since I was a young child ... and Lily of the Valley in Spring.

Can part with the tall-red leafed cannas that have small red flowers as well.
