Saw a picture of this on a recent post where it was identified as Papaya.

Well,I got out today in one of my little Jungle Gardens and pulled all the weeds out and all but one marigold plant, and found one of my markers on a daylily had faded so bad,I do not know which daylily it is.maybe I can figure it out later, or at least by next spring. It was so nice outside today, with temps in the upper 70's.Was windy and I usually get bad headaches and ear aches if I stay out in the wind very long, but, so far only have a slight headache. Its the first time I have been able to stay outside for most of the day, for a very long time, and I really injoyed being out..I watered the bed real good after I got the weeds out, then after the plants was dry,I sprayed everything with a stinky stuff to keep the deer from eating up everything.Theres 4 rose bushes in the bed,and they had already stripped all the new leaves on them, and ate the center out of 4 or 5 daylilies. This spray should keep them away from them for several weeks,or until it rains and washed it off, but, weather channel is not showing us to get any rain at least for the next 8 days.:( Jean

Anything thin & slippery that you can lay over the extension and in front of & behind the feed dogs (be careful not to cover them) will help. You will have to tape down. Maybe wax paper will help-not ideal. They make a clingy slide thing for this purpose. I use mine when I sew binding on by machine to help with the weight. I would be very afraid of using a spray product. Here is a link that might be useful: Slider

Next time I'll have to take a little more time to commit it all to memory ==>>> yeah.. good luck with that.. the older you get ... you're in real trouble.. when the snow melts.. and you dont remember building the bed.. lol .... i used to put some rocks as markers in the beds ... and then snapped pix of name tags or seed packets in relation to the markers .... so i might review said pix in spring ... or even just some sticks that fell out of trees ... to mark a planting spot ... the name that plant forum is brilliant for naming seedlings.. if you let them get to some size first ... of.. i also planted in straight lines ... figuring random weed seed doesnt sow itself in straight lines.. so odds are... if i saw a line of a dozen duplicate plants.. i must have planted them ... and then i would move them around in fall to permanent places ... the sticks mentioned above.. marking the start and finish of the line .... ken
