Wow, after gathering up my cuttings and staring at them, I as amazed at the sheer quantity of roses that I had in buckets and tubs! I literally cut back any roses that could be damaged by the rain and a few that I couldn't resist. The Home Depot buckets were stuffed beyond belief and I also filled a large storage container that we had available. Never have I felt so overwhelmed by roses, how should I arrange them? What vases should I use? Should I make cuttings from a few of them? Some were at the end of their life span, those petals that fell were gathered up and are drying right now. My home smells intoxicating! Just Joey & Abbaye De Cluny are the two I have the most of, but I do have others as well. I should have taken pictures of the buckets of roses but I couldn't find my camera. I will take pictures of my haphazard bouquets that are filling my home. Abbaye de Cluny was at least 7 feet tall, and covered in glorious blooms in all stages. My daughters are thrilled with the fragrance filling our home, I am too! It feels like I have the garden in the house! Yummy! LOL, I want more roses so I can do this more often! Its so wonderful to have all these roses filling my home! Pictures will be posted! Thank you all. Rick, we had heavy rain all week last week. Most of the blooms felt off, but 1/3 still hang on and now perk up. They do look pretty but not as full. One week of rain ruin most of the blooms in my garden. (good for my grass). Marie

I don't really like planting the bulb lilies in the fall, don't know why, just have always planted in the spring. But I probably will be buying more lily bulbs and planting this fall as I only got so far in the spring and then stopped because I could not stand the idea of planting any more bulbs or daylilies either. Heres another place with fabulous lily bulbs but the smallest amount they sell is 25. Plus you can only plant them in the spring, not the fall because they are kept in a semi frozen state and will be growing upon planting. Won't do for the Fall.
