Julie- OY VEH is a smaller flower. Very pretty but not very big, at least not here. Its an Owen intro.

This is also a great place to buy bulbs in the spring, I bought some here also. They don't seem to have that much for fall but their spring selection is outstanding.

That was very interesting. I have Landini also, planted it with Strutters Ball and they look great together.
Landini is a remarkable lily. Hey, when does B&D start selling bulbs for fall? I was on the website and they are still saying 'sold out for spring delivery'. I had ordered from them this past spring and I was VERY pleased with the bulbs. They are bursting to open any day now. Can't wait.

I had a lot of Landini planted here around the yard in various spots. Got most of them last year but added another clump on the spring when I was having my spring bulb lily crazies.

I don't really know when most places start selling their fall lily bulbs, I have always planted in the spring. Here is a link to another great place I brought from this spring-

That Landini lily is beautiful! I love dark, dark colors. Must remember to get some. And your daylilies are very pretty too! I've noticed too that some dl's hold up much better in the rain than others, and some just melt into a mushy gob of goo. Thanks for sharing...must add Landini to my Asiatic lily list(of which I have purchased zero of, cuz I keep spending my $ on dl's and hostas). :)

I guess it must be personal preference but to me the asiatic lilies and the daylilies go very well topgether.

Oh thanks Rita!!!! One more place to find asiatics. Thanks. Then I checked on B&D and they had updated on june 30th and are taking orders for fall planting, but now I have several places to order from. And I do have some spaces between my daylilies, but I do have the daffs planted. You are so right about the bulb lilies, cause you can just plant them in very tight places and the growing habit does well in between the daylilies. I place golf tees in spots right after the daffs are done so I know where I can plant in the fall.

I don't really like planting the bulb lilies in the fall, don't know why, just have always planted in the spring. But I probably will be buying more lily bulbs and planting this fall as I only got so far in the spring and then stopped because I could not stand the idea of planting any more bulbs or daylilies either.

Heres another place with fabulous lily bulbs but the smallest amount they sell is 25. Plus you can only plant them in the spring, not the fall because they are kept in a semi frozen state and will be growing upon planting. Won't do for the Fall.

Most of your DLs have good substance and held up well after the downpour. It's good to know that future buds aren't affected by heavy rains, so if you miss a photo shoot with one ruined bloom there will sure be more opening on dry, sunny days

It don't look like the rain really h urt any of them.Love that GYPSY ROSE,and that dark lily is soo pretty.I just might have to get me a handful of lilies to plant next year.

There were some that didn't have before pictures that I didn't do after pictures either because they were a shredded mess. Without the before and after shots, there was no point in taking ugly pictures of really badly beat up daylilies. But it did, as I said, rain hard and fast.

This to me is an excellent agrument for not trying to increase bloom time of daylilies to mutiple days. So todays flowers got done in, tomorrows will open bright, new and perfect (except for thrips and slugg damage).

As usual you have some stunning daylilies. I like your pics of before & after the rain. Landini is a lovely lily, I will have to try to get it this fall. I plant lilies in the fall & the spring, but they are sturdier & bloom bigger that first year if I plant them in the fall.
