Strange colour day lily

For some strange reason, when I took the photo of this day lily it came out a purple colour. It is actually a dusky pink colour.

This photo was taken with another day lily, a semi-double, which turned out the right colour but as you can see it is still purplish. Wish it was actually this colour.

This dark one turned out alright.

They were all taken at the same time but I had to pick the top two because they were on a bank and I had trouble keeping my balance to take the photo.

We must do the same thing I can't explain but someone will know so I'll watch with interest

That certainly is different GH just image if it was for real you could be famous.
Certainly a lovely colour and so different too, but as you say very strange.
It must have something to do with the flower as I have this different purple/red bougainvillea
And every time I take a pic it comes out bright red which is nothing like its real colour.

I have a huge one right now from my grandmas funneral (approx 3' x 5') it was so pretty when I got it and it gets a sicker look all the time. I had a smaller one a few years ago and I used tothink it was my plant that reminded me to water, when it drooped it meant I needed to water all of my plants . . . WRONG. After several months of doing this it finally never recovered. Now I have a medium sized one in my bathroom and hopefully the big one will compete with it and become pretty again. I have searched and searched for advice, I follow the advice,I re potted it, I gave it more sun, I have sprayed cuz I saw "A" bug. I put it in the bathroom and let the shower run hot for 15 mins then leave the door closed all day to give it moisture, I do this once a week, everyother watering I soak it in the tub to really soak it good, I feed it, I water it with well water instead of tap water. I am at my wits end, if it doesn't recover soon it is outta here. My theory is it's better to have no plants than un healthy one. The rest of my plants are beautiful.

OH, I had to sacroll down right away to see what the strange vistor was as I was so curious. I have never seen a moth that looks like that. But it is quite pretty. Bosco looks like a very capable garden helper, like a tuff guy. He is not goping to take any guff from anyone invading his garden LOL! And I like the pretty planter. Now to go back and look at all your lovely daylily blooms today. Great shot of WISPY RAYS, it looks like it is glowing. So vivid. I love the color on THE GOLDILOCKS EFFECT and it ties for me for favorite with SIAMESE ROYALTY.

It's funny you should mention that. I've had quite a few daylilies re-bloom this year that have never done this before in my garden. DOUBLE PASSION started re-blooming last weekend and is still going strong. I'm guessing it might be all the rain we've had this year, but whatever it is, I'm loving it!
