I guess the blue may work in the West Indies because it is cooling, but the room looks quite icy to me. That may be exactly what you need though. Sounds like you're happy with it.

That particular picture was taken in 2016. It is now a towering beast of a tree, however, it has been substantially pruned upwards. When we planted that tree (river birch) it was our thoughts that it would make a lovely ornamental specimen. Wrong! Nothing ornamental about it now. At almost 25-30 feet it has become a source of shade for our house and our neighbors garage area. Every time I mention removing it my neighbor starts praying that I’ll change my mind-not even kidding here. She absolutely loves that tree (definitely more than me). Doesn’t matter that during the summer it will go into heat stress and start dropping a ton of leaves in both our yards. Thank goodness for her uncaring attitude…she’s a real sweetheart! If our roles were reversed I’m afraid I would not have been so lenient. 🫣

When you saw "warm" neutral, are you thinking yellow undertones in the same hue as your floors and tall cabinet?  orange undertones to literally compliment the blue cabinets? warm pink undertones with are popular now? or a yellow-green undertone to create an analogous color scheme between your existing blue and yellows? What would suit the rest of your home? I ask because my first instinct is to create a clean backdrop for your muddy blue to keep the room looking too much the same value (muddy). So at this point I lean strongly to 2 and 4 to create contrast that keeps the space from being depressing. Your mock up doesn't have a warm muddy wall paint. It has a light bright wall paint. You have nice contrast between cool blue and warm yellow woods. You have contrast between dark bronze fixtures (I hope there is enough) and mid-to-light-toned everything else. What you need is a bright near-white value, and wall paint would be great. You also need texture contrast and a pattern. Will you have a runner or area rug? That can wait of course.

It's proving to be very challenging! Revere Pewter was actually the first sample I tried becuase I have it in my dining room and love it, but it looked terribly washed out and whiteish on the shed - I was so surprised! I think I have to conquer my fear of dark, warmer colors and get some samples. BM Alexandria Beige chip looked dark enough to combat the washing out but, almost a bit too cool in person compared to what I'd like to achieve. I think I'll have to try the Edgewood Rocks that was mentioned before and possibly Great Plains to combat the cool undertones I'm seeing. I've also used Rustic Taupe before on decking and might try that one too.
