I was thinking the same thing myself...the Siloams should have their own post! I know I have a lot of them, which were all acquired last year. I kind of went on a Siloam 'kick' last summer...haha. Some haven't bloomed yet, but these are the ones which did. I love these cute little bloomers...they are so hardy here! Isabelle: You do have an AHS registered daylily that should perform well for you. 'Jersey Earlybird Cardinal' is the marketing name (Trademarked) for 'ENDLESS HEART'(Apps-Blew 2004) which IS registered with the AHS. It is a patented cultivar controlled & distributed by Centreton Nursery of New Jersey.(Owned & operated by the Blew family) This nursery also is involved with the trademark labels 'Happy Ever Appster (Daylilies)' & 'Trophytaker Daylilies'. 'Endless Heart' was bred by Dr. D. Apps, previously of Woodside Nursery, NJ - Now retired. Prior to retiring, Dr. Apps worked closely with Centerton and subsequently sold most of his own operation to them. I do have JEBC (Endless Heart)and find it to be a reliable RE cultivar; easy to breed with (No effective results to date)& hardy in US Zone #4 (Cdn Zone 5). The JEBC name was assigned by Centerton for mass-market appeal and 'branding' of the plant (Think 'Stella De Oro'). JEBC has been licensed & propagated in the tens of thousands for distribution over (at least) North America thru 'Big-Box' stores and other retail operations. A GOOGLE search for JEBC (Use full name) will reveal many pages of write-ups published in a wide range of trade & general garden publications both prior to and following it's initial registration and release to the marketplace. The introduction of JEBC - aka Endless Heart - probably experienced one of - if not, THE biggest most complex marketing campaign of any daylily introduced to date. JEBC/Endless Heart has been created to put a long season, repeat blooming, hardy, vigorous & appealing cardinal red daylily into thousands of gardens throughout NA - Just as Stella De Oro has achieved over many, many years. It is expected that other colours will be introduced under similar trademarking etc as they are bred and proven. (I am aware of at least one other - a near-white -that has undergone their field testing program (I believe that 'the white' was rejected)
