From jars to egg cups, vintage trophies to urns, there's a beautiful vessel here for every kind of bouquet
With spring right around the corner, I have flowers on my mind! I love to find beautiful and unique vessels for holding my plants, herbs, orchids and blooms. Here is a collection of some of my favorite options for displaying freshly cut greenery and flowers. — Candice from The Design Boards
White Porcelain Urn Flower Vase
Urns are usually common for large potted plants outdoors, but I like smaller porcelain urns like this for holding herbs in the kitchen window. A rosemary or sage plant would look perfect in one of these.
Century Old Half-Gallon Mason Jar by Midwest Finds
Of course you can't talk about flower vases without bringing up the ubiquitous blue Mason jar. They are so commonly used but still so beautiful. The blue really is the perfect accent to freshly cut stems from the garden.
Antique Swedish Trophy Bowl
Vintage trophies make such beautiful vessels for flowers. This low-profile trophy bowl is perfect for holding succulents.
Potted Tulip Egg Cups
Egg cups make perfect little vessels for holding flowers. You can create a collection of vintage cups or choose a simple option like these white ones. They would be so cute on an Easter table as a centerpiece or even as a place setting marker.
Vintage Trophy
It's easy to scrounge up a vintage trophy when antiquing or thrifting. This one has a beautiful patina and age to it.
Moroccan Tea Glasses
Moroccan tea glasses are perfect for holding individual cuts of flowers, and they come in a variety of colors. They don’t take up a lot of space, making them perfect for tabletop vases during dinner parties. I love these in jewel tones.
Ceramic 12-bud Vase
I love this 12-bud vase. It would look so beautiful as a centerpiece for an outdoor garden party with different colored stems in it.
Glass and Metal Terrarium With Door by Klinker
Terrariums have become so popular over the past few years. This tiny vintage one is unique and so cute. I love the patina on the metal.
Jamie Young Co. Large Bell Jar
Bell jars are a nice and unique way of displaying a couple of flowers, or you can put a small bud vase underneath with a few stems inside. I love this version with a rope handle.
Embossed Metal Hanging French Flower Market Buckets
French flower buckets are perfect for holding freshly cut garden flowers or herbs. I like to use these for outdoor table centerpieces in the summer and fill them with rosemary clippings.
Vintage Amber Apothecary Jar by Apt. 22
Vintage apothecary jars make great little bud vases. I love amber-colored options like this one because the flowers really stand out against the vase.
Barley Bottles
I like to have large glass vases like these around for holding flowering branches and large stems.
Painted and Distressed Mason Jars by Beach Blues
This is a fun take on the classic Mason jar look. The painted jars can coordinate with your stem colors.
Etched Mercury Glass Vases
I'm such a sucker for mercury glass — I love it! It always looks amazing paired with white hydrangeas, which are some of my favorite flowers.
Weathered Basin Terrarium
Large terrariums like this always look so nice on display in a bathroom or on a small corner table.
Coral Clay Vases
These clay vases have a wonderful organic shape to them. The white contrasts nicely with brightly colored stems.
Vintage Mint Julep Cups by Bonnbonn
Maybe it's because my entire family is from Kentucky, but I love mint julep cups, especially vintage sets like this one. They look so great running down a table as a decorative centerpiece. As an added bonus, you can drink out of them when you aren't using them as vases!
Vintage Stoneware Crock by Bonnbonn
I am obsessed with stoneware — as you probably know if you follow any of my other ideabooks. I just love the way it looks set against greenery or herbs.
