Gardening in Oz

Identifying help please.

Hi. I have just moved into a house that has a lot of plants. I have no idea what they are or if they are safe for my three kids and dog. Can anyone help me with this or maybe let me know who I can contact for help with this. I have taken photos of all the trees/plants on question.

Hi,

You can use the "OZ Gallery" forum to post photos - either by uploading one photo per posting off your hard-drive, or by uploading your photos to a hosting site, and then posting a link to it, or embedding the photos from those links into the text of a message.

The first is probably simplest, the have to be under 60kb size to be accepted, the posting rules are at the link below.

I'm sure we can help.

Sounds like either cabbage loopers or leaf rollers. Bt works on both.

It would help to see a picture of the entire plant or, at the least, a description of the entire plant. The 6th (I think) image -- darkish leaves -- may be a flowering crabapple. Seil gives good advice, as usual. Just want to warn you that, unfortunately, most florist varieties of roses grow well inside the controlled conditions of a greenhouse, but not in the open air of our gardens. I have tried a few, and had to spray them constantly to prevent fungus diseases. The blooms were also smaller when grown outdoors. Let's hope that is one of the few that do grow well outdoors.
