Was thinking paspalum

I've seen something similar around the edges of my gardens, I just pull it out as I do other weeds. If you're looking for a lawn you cant go past Sir Walter Buffalo. I've bought it from that big green store that sells everything, they sell it in sections about a metre and a half by about 75 mil wide. Over last spring/ summer I bought up to 6 squares at various times, cut them into 6 smaller squares per piece and planted them around the front and rear lawn /weed patches. They've now taken over and dominate, choking out the bindies and wild couch, etc.

First one may be Poa annua (winter grass).
Last one is Pennisetum clandestinum (Kikuyu).

Others look like a Heinz variety of weedy stuff you won't want in a lawn!

not sure what type they were. But since you are planning to re-turf your home, maybe
you can try this. First, how big is your front yard and back yard? Let’s say
the front is large, I suggest you use Kikuyu since it’s not very
expensive. This will cover the entire area, but won’t hurt your budget. If your
yard is small and you can spare a bit more coin then I suggest Sir
Walter
turf. It’s far easier to maintain – less mowing, less watering and less
spraying.
