I watched Hannibal Rising the other night, by myself. I quite enjoyed it and thought that it finally explained alot. I loved the reference to Melville, SK. at the end. We've got friends that were raised in Melville. I've never been there but I thought it was a prairie town - not a town surrounded by forest? Is this a big movie "oops"? Has anyone seen Beowulf? I want to go to see it in the IMAX theatre. But, I think I just want to see the IMAX effects. Not sure if it's the actual movie that I want to see. Shauna

Julie my friend was telling me on the Final Destination 3 DVD you can pick who dies or something like that. I haven't seen the third one yet, but I liked the first two. I watched Evil Dead again saturday night. That's a classic. The next movie I am awaiting to come to the theater is Spider-Man 3. I have seen one preview and it looked good. I'm glad that Sam Raimi was picked as the director. He has stuck close to the original story line. Which is something a lot of directors don't usually do. Also Bruce Campbell might have a more promonent role in this one as a villian. Since I'm on film adaptations I always thought it would be cool if the Dragonlance Chronicals (War of the Lance) were made into movies. Of course if it was me I would do 9 movies with the Meeting of the Sextet leading up to the War of the Lance. That would be asking a lot though, so I would settle for The Chronicals. oH someone could do The Legand of Huma, or just about any of the great DL books. Any other Dragonlance fans out there? Tim

Sharon, i don't know about European standards, but get a Blu Ray player instead of a plain DVD player, if possible. Price isn't too much more, and the quality (if you have a HD TV) is better on all disks, Blu-Ray or older ones. (But you can't play BluRay disks on regular DVD player, it does work the other way.) That said, I agree with you completely. That's a great movie! Last night we tried to watch Bad Lieutenant: Port of New Orleans. Don't bother, even if you like Nicholas Cage. Turned it off and put in an old DVD of Big Chill, much better.

Had you already seen this movie...or did you watch it last night. I see it can also be watched on Hulu. I check the Lifetime movies to see what's playing...I enjoy pluggin in my ear buds and quietly listening while Denny is blaring the tv. He needs hearing aids...8)
