Great pictures Misty. they are beautiful colours and the form of the flowers is stunning. my roses are starting to bud-I can see tiny diamond shapes appearing. The leaves on one of the old roses started to look "veiny" so I gave it a little iron chelate and I don't think its imagination, but the lower leaves are gettin much greener-watch this space!

Beautiful bouquets everyone! Rosybunny, that's Royal Amethyst. It was new for me last year and has already become my best lavender. Grew to 5 ft tall its first season and was an absolute bloom machine...almost always completely covered in blooms, great fragrance and a good cut flower. It will blackspot in our humidity if not sprayed here.

Golden Zest has a very lemony scent, pretty strong but not overpowering. It's exploding with buds, just loves the rain! Here's another of Mr Lincoln later: Jen

Ha, ha! My blackspotted piece of cr*p is Abe Darby. We all have one or two, don't we? But a delicious fragrance and gorgeous blooms can atone for much. I love the plum shades in your collection! I saw Violet's Pride at the nursery last year and tried really hard to convince myself that purchasing it was necessary to my health and wellbeing. The fragrance is sweet and the color is wonderful! And who doesn't love Downton Abbey and Maggie Smith? Carol

Thanks Chas.. I have never seen such large roses as I did that day lots of the blooms were the size of saucers.
Today I took photos of David Austin Roses that I have never heard of in Australia.

I used Iron Chelates on my Port Wine Magnolia that had the same problem and it worked and fast.
I will certainly watch this space.

Inga we had a wonderful time at Kew Gardens today, and it did not rain.
Mind you it seemed strange looking at all the same plants that I grow in our garden.

Well although we are sorry that your visit is coming to and end, we will be pleased to see you back home again. Enjoy the rest of your trip. How the time has flown by. Roses are looking wonderful and a thought of what is to come for us SOON.
