Thanks for sharing. I moved about a year ago and I have it on my list to plant more bulbs this fall. I sure miss my daffodils and alliums. That columbine is very pretty. I visited Butchart Gardens several years ago. It sure looks magical in the spring. BTW, do you know what your plant labeled "Pretty (Got at Swap, don't know what it is, poppy?)" really is? Sure looks to be Pink Evening Primrose (Oenothera speciosa). A pretty plant but it sure spreads fast! - Brent

I live in Victoria and we get season's passes every year. Spring is my favorite time at the Gardens. During the summer, they have fireworks every Saturday night during July & August. These are not just your average fireworks either....well worth seeing. Even in this day and age, we take a blanket and picnic dinner and put it down in the fireworks viewing area, and then putter around throughout the gardens until evening. Never lost anything. Their high tea in the dining room is very nice too. It's definitely a "must see" when visiting Victoria. During Christmas season, they have scenes representing the 12 days of Christmas song that are hidden within the garden and it is fun to find them all and they add a skating rink. Very pretty then too.
