Where to buy untreated twine

Hi,

I've been on the search for untreated twine made out of a natural fibre and have so far had no luck finding a product that is known and confirmed to be untreated. The packaging for the different twine brands has so far contained no information, and shop assistants don't know whether their product's been treated. Looking up the brands and companies on the internet doesn't give any more info either.

I'm looking for some for garden use as well as to use as a thread to sew some hessian with. I'm really hoping for stuff that I know I can safely leave in the compost to degrade.

Is there anyone out there who's been using untreated twine that they've been happy with? Would like to buy from within SA or Australia, but if I can't find any and there are good suppliers in another country I would buy from them.
