Yes! I ordered a fireplace insert thing that uses STEAM -- and we couldn't have chosen better. Don't remember the name, but we ordered it from Target. When the steam comes out it looks exactly like smoke. There are fake logs and orange lighting and we love it!. I decided that we really didn't need to see both sides of the fire at once, so I made black curtains to hang on the back side, making the two sided look (from the front) like a one sided. We just ignore the back side and it looks great.

Palimpsest - That could ABSOLUTELY be the case. I don’t know if that makes the search easier or harder. I’d be happy to find the base as a start. Awesome username, btw.

@Sheila z8a Rogue Valley OR absolutely agreed! My first OGRs were from Marissa way back in 1983. Two friends and I traveled to Greenmantle and spent the afternoon being shown their canyon and the home Ram was building. Their children were extremely well behaved and the lunch the fed us of what was grown on their land was wonderful. I flew home from San Jose with three, one gallon roses, completely unsuited to my climate, but ones which Graham Stuart Thomas ASSURED the world were perfect everywhere. I later waited two years for my first Grey Pearl bushes and, being a real "newbie", two Silver Moon plants. ONE will eat a cathedral. I worry about her being alone out in the canyon. I second the suggestion to call her. Earlier this year, she stated she does email but only if she knows an email is expected so speak to her by phone and let her know if you're going to email her so she's alerted to expect it. If she tells you she'll get you the rose, you can bank on it.

And another thing..............teach your sons to do their own laundry NOW. Kids need to be self sufficient in order to leave the nest. It doesn't mean you can't offer assistance from time to time, but useless young men are simply useless to everyone especially women.
