Kippy, I will try to get some more photos for you. Did you see the "roses recently discussed" thread? There is a photo there. Mine is very tall, like 8 ft high. I thought it was a typical HT. The buds are hot pink and slow to open with a nice fragrance. Blooms last quite awhile. It's more lavender than Love Song...Love Song finally has put out some decent blooms but the Huey rootstock just doesn't work for my garden. I will likely reorder on multiflora. Susan

Hi Stush, I've assumed those brown spots are the same 'rust' that plagues Manolyn and Siam Silver. My Bantel's gets them, and only on the white part of the leaf. I believe it's bacterial or fungal, so I would think our systemic would at least help. I'm going to try and use it regularly and see what happens. One Craigii has 4 leaves, one has 3, another emerging has 2. The latter looks like it's going to be robust, so it'll be interesting to see how many leaves it develops. What would more than 3 leaves indicate to you? I notice that Juan's pic of Craigii in his Trif Book shows plants with a very narrow green edge like mine, those Craigii's pictured at the Kew site had a wider border. Russ

We recently moved my 88 yo Mum into an independent living place. As we packed up her things, I came across many boxes of photos that I didn’t know existed*. It was fun to see photos of her as a 5 yo with neighbor kids, 3 school photos, and a 15 yo at her sister’s 1946 wedding. She mailed off photos of my cousins as children and/or their parents to the appropriate cousin. I posted quite a few photos on Facebook and tagged my cousins so they could, hopefully, enjoy seeing our Grandmother and other relatives. I had so many great exchanges in the comments with cousins from both sides of the family. *Whenever I came across an old card or letter, I told her she had to save them to read later in the evening after her prepping-to-move duties were done for that day. They were her reward for clearing out files or whatever sit-down task we gave her. 😆
