The History of Love - Nicole Krauss

Has anyone here read Nicole Krauss' The History of Love, and if so, did you find it as confusing as I did?

I've never read a book that involved so much checking back and re-reading to sort out who did what and when! Having said that, I actually quite enjoyed this investigative aspect to the read, and I obviously liked the story enough to want to do it. The story is split into 3 narratives, each of which jumps back and forth from the present into the past (several pasts actually), all linked by one or more books called 'The History of Love'. At one point I actually drew out a diagram to sort out who had written which book, and when! My favourite narrator was the old man Leo, who I felt a great sympathy for; I loved the writing style of his narration (And Yet. Loved the use of this phrase).

I still have 50 pages to go, so please indicate any spoilers, but I would be interested to know of others who have read this book, and their thoughts.
