She must be a good provider, all those fat little tummies.
They are wonderful dogs, so loving and firendly and protective of their loved ones, we always had golden labs when our children were young.
One of them looked after any farm orphan that came along, from chickens, lambs and kid goats and piglets she even helped me raise some goslings which I raised in an incubator.

Yes, I use different coloured ribbons to help me tell them apart as there isn't much difference in some of them. They have been feeling the heat but we have a small kids swimming pool (one of those hard plastic shell type ones) for the big dogs which they love.

She is a really good mum but she doesn't mind the kids carefully holding the pups. The dad loves them too and loves to play with the pups when they are a few weeks old.

Marion, that's why I love golden retrievers, they are so gentle yet let you know when something is around.

How come we didn't see a picture of the proud Daddy? Is he camera shy? Please post some more of them when they are a bit bigger!!

Aww, they are very lovely.
Our poodle puppies have all gone to new homes now. Fortunately they were all bought by people who live locally, so I am not grieving too badly.
All the best raising those delightful bundles.

Here is a photo of Dad, a real character who loves to 'talk' to you, his nickname is sometimes Goofy and always wants to play but he is very lovable. Mum is quieter and a real sook, prefers to just lie at your feet - like most Mums prefers to put her feet up when she can :)

MM, I'm finding it a hassle to log on too, sometimes it's ok but sometimes it takes a while. The photo of Dad was taken a few months ago when the grass was still green, at the moment it has a greenish-brown look and needs mowing :(

Daniel, they do like to play in the garden occasionally but not as bad as they are getting older, though when we accidentally throw a ball in the garden, Dad has to bound through totally oblivious to anything except the ball.

Thanks for the photo of 'Dad'. He is just gorgeous. I have a real soft spot for Golden Retrievers. Looking forward to more puppy photos.

Here is another photo of the pups, taken yesterday. They were 4 weeks old yesterday.

They are starting to play now and have only been on grass a few times. It doesn't take much to tire them out. Looks like at least one of them is sold already.

They are just adorable you just wish you could pick them up and give them a big cuddle.
Healthy looking puppies.. How is the Mum bet she is off having a good rest while this lot are sleeping.

They are looking beautiful GH they appear white in colour do they go golden or are there varying shades? as we had a beautiful golden coloured one years ago.

Jan, most are born white/cream and turn golden after a few months though some are born gold like the one near front left. The colour of the tips of their ears can be used as a guide to their final adult colours. It is hard to tell in this photo but most will go a mid-gold colour, the one right in the front will be the lightest, and the darkest one will go even darker.

The latest and probably last update on the pups. They are 6 weeks old and 3, possibly 4, are sold. They will go to their new homes at the end of the month.

The pups love playing with Dad, and Dad laps it up. He just flops down and lets the pups climb all over him.

How gorgeous is that pic of Dad and babies.If I buy a dog I always like to see the parents and I think it gives those cute little guys the best start in life to spend their first 6-8 weeks with their brothers and sisters. They are beautiful cheers pam
