My latest addition

I met up with a grower today on my lunch break to pick up a pair of new plants. I had been looking for the Euphorbia balsamifera for some time, and found her on eBay. Of course, I wasn't really after a seedling, so I contacted her and arranged for a much larger plant. Through the course of conversation, she told me she had a number of Aloe dichotoma's for sale, at a fantastic price. I couldn't resist. The plan is to put it in in the little plot of garden space my parents gave me at their nearby house. But for now, it sure makes a terrific potted specimen!

If you didn't know that was a 15 gallon pot, you might think it wasn't really a tree!

My proud new Quiver Tree stands 45' from the soil line to the top.

Nice bluish green foliage.

You just have to love those backlit, *orange* teeth!

The pair of plants I bought.

This plant and the species in general have a lot of potential. They are great bonsai candidates, but could also serve well as nice landscape additions. This one has about a 2" trunk.
