If you mean dislike paedophiles - yes, definitely.

paedophobes = People afraid of children/who hate children? Yes, ME! Their sticky little germy hands, their pick-their-nose-and-eat-it habits, their ear-drum rending screaming fits, their foul stinkiness (the smallest ones smell like vomit, the bigger ones just smell...) Yucky Poo - keep the offensive little creeps away from me!

What I love about children:
They tell it like it is. They wonder at the world and never cease to learn and ask questions. They gaze up into your eyes and say "I love you" and you know they mean it. They hold your hand for no reason. They stroke your forehead tenderly when you say you have a headache. They laugh at your most stupid attempts at humour and even repeat it because they think it's so funny. They make you silly little cards for your birthdays with all the skill they can muster. They actually believe you know what you are talking about and come to you for advice. etc. etc. etc.!!

There are some adults who smell or yell or get drunk and vomit but does that make you hate all adults? I hope not.

Oh come on Dee - I know Robyn personally, and I know she is just going to be the bestest grandma one of these days. She keeps close family ties, and she nurtures her baby plants like they were her children. Not to mention that spoilt, pampered pooch Holly!
On children - my gorgeous grandson who is counting down the days until his number 3 birthday, visited last weekend and he was enthralled by our house which has a staircase. He wandered up and was surprised to find a big bedroom ...... and a bathroom ......and a little room with clothes hanging up. On seeing the walk in robe, he turned to me and asked "Do you live in there grandma?". Too funny! Have we finished playing with grandma yet children? Let's just put her back in the cupboard until next time :-)

No really, I don't like children! Well, the ones that are in school are OK, and the ones that are in their own homes with the door shut are OK, the teenage ones are great - never had a problem with them! It's just the small ones in the supermarket that are pure evil... However, I don't disciminate against children only, I hate everbody equally - even the other members of the 'Grumpy Old Women' club.

BTW - those aren't children in the supermarket. The children are the quiet ones in the supermarket trolleys, with clean hands, helping their mums find their shopping. The ones blocking the aisles, running round bumping into people, mushing up the chocolates on the shelves, handling the food with snotty fingers, and screaming, are actually kidibots, sent there by the opposition supermarket chain, to put people off shopping in that store. It's part of the ongoing fight for supremacy between C/M and big W.

That's a relief to know. Kidibots, after all, are not subject to the same high standards we hold on human life and therefore it's perfectly acceptable to reverse over them in the carpark afterward...

I'm glad you weren't talking about paedophiles. I know the word breaks down to mean fear of children but in recent years it is being taken to mean dislike of paedophiles (I looked it up). Anyway getting off that nasty subject I thought you might be able to relate to some of these.

I must be an arachnophile, but definitely a snakeophobe. I have bad dreams about snakes.
I love my security doors. It is so nice to be able to lock them and leave the main door open. I love fresh air, even in mid winter.
My main phobia is small spaces, especially low ceilings. I find it very difficult to sleep in a room that has the minimum height ceilings.
Oh - and snakes - did I mention them?

Yes, definately snakes, I get a tingle at the back of my legs when one is about and then head inside behind the screen doors and spend some time going from window to window looking for the darn thing to stick it's head up !!!!!

Sitting in a bus or train with my head on the back of the seat and wondering what was in the hair of the last person to have their head their, YUKKK.

Pinworm eggs is probably the least of it!

all of the above , supermarket trolleys I wont even use one that has someone elses rubbish in it (even a n old shopping list)definitely spiders. I dont like being closed in (I could never have a cat scan) but like you Jan I love locking my screen doors and letting the fresh air flow through the house.
snakes heights you bet , however my worst phobia is caterpillars.I used to dread those trees which were around whae I was a child where the caterpillars would drop on your head as you walked under, still gives me a shudder to think about it.

Cockroaches, ewwwwwwwww. Not much else bothers me, not even snakes and spiders but I hate cockroaches especially the big flying ones.
I feel for all of you who have to live behind locked doors as we still have a pretty safe town with very little burglary. I love having all my doors and windows open.

I agree with Jules, give me the country any day. My brother and family live in a virtual prison in the city. I couldn't stand it. I need my open windows and doors, and where the kids can run round outside safely.

It's not just worm eggs on shopping trolley handles but cold and flu germs, gastric problems and any other disease going. Get enough of those things from school.

My phobia is toads, I'd rather have snakes, though I'm not keen on the venomous ones but pythons, tree snakes, etc are fine. Frogs are great, in fact we have several that live inside.
