For instance Moonstone stimulates confidence

and balances the emotions.

Hi Nemo,
Absolutely! A firm believer in stones, not necessarily crystals. I wear amber myself, which is neither a stone or a crystal really, but apparently aids in healing. A few friends of mine wear different types of stones, and touch wood, none of us got sick even though our kids were quite sick with various ailments.
Maybe it's mind over matter, who knows, either way it can't hurt. Alternative therapy has its uses.

Many years ago I did lapidary for some time and I had some humongous quartz crystals as well as sapphires, zircons, topaz etc and large collection of assorted other crystals.

The only benefit I had was from the sapphires I sold.

As for a mood change or other effects there is no scientific evidence to suggest the crystals give any benefit.
Whether it be true or only a placebo effect if it makes someone happy (other than the seller and their exorbitant prices) then there is no harm.

@J w I got the floors at Nara Tile in Dublin and I worked with the owner, Ceren. She helped me pick out my back splash and fireplace surround. She was excellent to work with and even showed me her pricing, and allowed me to compare other shops with hers. She had a fair price and lots of expertise. We will continue to use their services when we redo the next part of our house. Good luck with your remodel.

Depends on how bright of lights your planning on putting underneath as well as their size, & shape. How much reflection do you want? White,silver,off white , ? Maybe even use a frosting spray paint on bottom of sink or etching paste for glass will give the frosted look to the bottom of sink so you can't actually see thru it and will make for a softer lighted look. With the carving the etching should accent the grooves,etc of the carving. Try on a carved glass plate or something similar first to make sure how it's going to look first. Jmo.

Same thing here in Central Massachusetts on the border of Worcester. It's magical to look at, but so iffy as to damages.. Last night an ice-laden branch must have hit a power line somewhere nearby which kiboshed the electricity - the entire street went dark for about four hours. Could have been worse, but the fierce wind gusts meant the power restoration was delayed. Thankful that we have a whole-house generator, so we were fine. Grateful for that peace of mind, especially at our ages!!
