I don't know for sure that the one you are looking for is on this site, but there are 266 photos of BBs there. Also over 100 pictures of garden art, among other things. There are wonderful pictures there. When you get to the site, click on photos at the top of the page. The next page has several listings but at the bottom of the page ( after the mosiacs heading) it says "All galleries" that is where the Bowling balls are. I don't know how to link....some one else might do that. This group split from garden junk because of Spike's rules (Some of you may remember Spike before IVillage). It's an interesting site. I wish more people would visit there. Emnest (Dottie) the moderator, still posts here sometimes. WWW.gardenjunk.org

Great score! I'm not sure what to tell you since I haven't made one yet. (I have 3 candlepin balls in the garage tho) I thought people just geii'd the stuff to them. You could go to the bottom of the threads page (just above the new thread form) and search for past posta about it. I know soomeone used to put heavy duty aluminium foil on first. If you were thinking of using mortor and grout there can be a problem as some bb's expand and contract with the temperature. Not sure how to tell which ones. Good luck and post pics! Kathy

OK. Well, I know you'all have answered so many of these questions before, but this seems timely. I did some bowling balls last year... scuffed them up with sandpaper; used thinset to put pieces on; used ssanded grout to grout them. Now both of them have pieces falling off. :* I have two friends coming over next week with BB's and I am afraid to have them use thinset. I see that several of you suggested silicone (which is easier to use anyway)...have any of you had the pieces come off? I just don't want to mess someone else up...I can handle my own failures.

Daisy, I have not used TG on a BB yet, but my answer to you from my experience with other glues would, yes sand the BB. I'm not sure what results you'd get under the TG. You could paint the BB. Any color would work. Or you could oaint the TG before application. Definitely use GEII for outside. I have not had good luck with weelbond on a couple of pavers and BBs'. I would say yes, butter the TG with GEII, then apply to BB. Good luck Daisy and make sure to post some pix. I have been thinking of a TG BB, but have not yet attempted. Kathy
