Ohhh, as always, Emmett is adorable! Happy Halloween, Darlin! Here is a photo of my darling daughter when she was about Emmett’s age. She was born 2 months prematurely at a whopping 2 lbs 14 oz. The NICU nurses all called her their “fairy baby”. And so, I dressed her as a fairy baby this particular Halloween. DH keeps this photo framed on his desk. Anyhoo, she grew and thrived and is now in her second year of grad school. For me, Halloween has many very happy memories.

About your vegetable garden , it is good that you are harvesting some crops, I harvested my sweet potatoes already. When you are too busy, sometimes is a good idea to let the garden rest for a while. There will be the time , when you can plant again.... Thank you Writersblock, I am glad that you enjoyed the video, the owner of the house takes a lot of his time, patience and material to make it possible for all of us to enjoy. We told him that we were making the video. The only spell that I made yesterday was for my food to be healthy! lol. And it was tasty and healthy, that red lentil pasta , I will be buying again, taste better when hot and fresh. I saw another pasta made from chickpeas, I will be trying that one too.

Happy Halloween! I bought a pumpkin today because they still don't have pie pumpkins out. I found one that seems ripe and a big drier than the average Jack o'Lantern. It may become soup, or lasagna, or both. I was also feeling low on sugar, so I bought some big, crisp blueberries, and they're lovely, and just enough tart, but I don't know if it's enough sugar. Maybe a one bite Twix is the thing after all... (I always buy a bag of candy, but the neighborhood kids are grown so it's rare that we get a trick-or-treater.)

I found out that the rings on her corset are for holding ingredients (dried herbs, dead rodents, you get the picture). Mary's what one would call a "kitchen witch" as she's always preparing foods or gathering ingredients for Winifred's potions. Her hairstyle is not supposed to be a witch's hat, but rather, it was inspired buy a curled pumpkin stem ;). I love all three sisters, but Winifred/Winnie (whom I went as a couple years ago if you recall) is my favorite. "Shish-ka-baby" is one of my favorite quotes of hers. If you want to humble yourself, work as a server in a restaurant or work with the public. You're often treated like dirt, only rarely being shown compassion or praise. I think for work, since we can't do a full costume, I'll either don a wig or wear one of those witch hats on a headband (probably the witch hat-since a witch is always my go-to classic costume). Of course, Mary or the Bride's hairdos would get a laugh. I have two Hocus Pocus masks, so maybe I'll don Mary's signature 'do. Halloween 2021 hopefully will be back to the way we used to know it. Oh, and Mother Darling and I discovered a film that's become quite dear to us. Has anyone ever seen it? I have a pin with this photo on it I bought off of Etsy. It says "S-T-A-U-N-C-H" on it ;).
