The day has finally arrived - in the U.K. it is 7.30a.m. and i could not wait any longer to open my excitring box ---its a bit like being a little girl again---- here goes ----wow theres chocolate, sweets, a dear litle cup and saucer,a seam ripper a guage, fabric and a magazine all wrapped up individually ----- hope i've remembered everything ....no there is something else.... a marker pen .... A big thank you Secret Santa - hope you get lots of lovely things too and that you have a very happy Chrismas. Ann

I didn't stay up till midnight to open, but I am an early riser. Opening Wynative's (Marie's) box was like waking early on Christmas morning.

Clipped to the Brrr card is a packet of hot chocolate mix. The checkbook sized embroidered sachet behind the Hershey's syrup candle is French Vanilla (yummmmmm). Did you make the Santa ornament with my name, it is adorable. After the holidays, I'll be making some of the great recipes from the Recipes From the Middle of the Road cookbook.

Here is my treasure trove of gifts from my Secret Santa package.

I received a potholder and some special body powder, a lovely Christmas thimble, many gemstones and beads as well as a key ring, some fabric and a Santa pin. Thank you Santa Patsy--love them all.

Dianne - I am so glad that you liked what I picked for you. Yes, I made the snow-woman ornament for you.

Shannon - THanks for all the great stuff you sent me! Purple, purple and more purple - how did you guess? LOL Shannon sent me 4 fat quarter's of different PURPLE printed fabric, a PURPLE seam ripper, a Quilt Sampler magazine (this is great and has a pattern in it) and a PURPLE hand made pin cushion to put the pins that she sent into.

mine has been opened and from teresa. cute card with a cat laying behind a sewing machine,cute red work dish towel did a good job on it to.5 pieces of fabric, some lindor truffles they won't last long. a bag with aspen spice, hot chocolate, chocolate mint cookie and a few more pieces of chocolate. thank you very much. enjoy it all.

Holiday Greetings to All!
I was so excited to find that my Secret Santa was also my Christmas in July Pal. I recognized the address immediately! Thank you to Pat (patti60). You and I must be kindred spirits...your Kentucky connection is strong in Morehead. :) Pat sent me so many of my favorite things. A book called Homemade Christmas which I am loving. Holly socks (which my students will love!), Goodnight Hugs cocoa mix (yummy!), 3 ornaments: acorn (wow! I collect acorn ornaments!!), quilted Santa :) and Golden Angel, Joyful Jotter (my students will love this too!), Colorscope color selector (can't wait to try it), Christmas Music :), Homemade candies in a Christmas tin (my husband is hovering!), 4 lovely fat quarters (in my favorite colors) and a beautiful Christmas table runner (which will adorn my table this season). Thank you so much, Pat! Your choices are so thoughtful.

When my daughter visits this weekend, I will try to post a picture.

Oh my! I received a cathedral windows sachet so well done in the most beautiful blue, the cutest little cat nip sachet with Christmas kitty print, all accented with gold. I fear my cats will never get it.:) Also, two fabrics in half yard and fat quarter cut and a Edwardian Lady Country Diary birthday book--I have the counted cross stitch book and done three of those picture many years ago. I love it all, but perhaps my favorite bit was the decoupage card of winter birds.

Thank you cziga! This was such fun! I too am to computer illerate to post pictures, sorry. First out of the box was a small lovely decorated black vintage shoe - with a spring to hold a photo or picture. Very cute! Then a dark red, cranberry scented candle...smells really nice! A personally hand painted gingerbread house ornament, very sweet and thoughtful! Three very lovely floral print fabric pieces. And lots and lots of seeds!-that was very unexpected and I'm delighted! When I'm not sewing, I'm growing plants! Thank you so much Cathleen...have a wonderful and safe holiday season!

I had to wait to open mine until later in the day but I was so excited! I can't post a photo right away as I don't have the camera, but thank you so much to my Secret Santa Dianne (dian57).

She found a beautiful snowflake picture frame, perfect for the season :) Especially for the weather we are getting up here right now! A lovely bag of dog treats that our dog is thrilled about, lol. She's a big fan of yours already! Also, a beautiful glass pot pourri and candle, a lovely angel/bell ornament for the Christmas tree and the sweetest flower candle, on a stem and everything. I've never seen anything like that before! A wooden block to hold my quilting rulers (thank you for the note, I wouldn't have been sure what it was otherwise, lol) and last but not least, the fabric. I was so impressed with your choice of fabrics, and I love the "interpreted" fat quarter sizes. I do that myself :) Lovely Easter fabrics, Christmas fabrics, Sunflowers, Moon and Stars, and then the two purples. The batik purple is so pretty, and will certainly be worked into my 2008 birthday block quilt somehow (my theme was quilters choice in ALL purple, lol).

This was a lot of fun, especially the suspense of waiting, and then getting to open such a wonderful and thoughtful holiday surprise. Thank you so very much and Merry Christmas, happy holidays!
