Lydia these are summer homes (cottages) and the road is really just one lane, just a road to get to the homes. But, yes, many houses in small communities in Newfoundland are built very close to the road. I think it came about before roads were used for cars but they kept the same roads and paved them and now they're the only roads in the towns and some homes are practically touching the roads. I wouldn't want to live like it but there isn't much traffic in small towns like that anyway.

I guess the cataract surgery was worth it! I saw the cutie right away then had to ZOOM WAY IN to identify. I just couldn't say to much and give it away so others could look and tell.
