I didn't know these could grow shoots off the side. I guess only in the warm climates.

casey, as usual the photo is surreal. Love it. lucky's photo makes me feel the gardening season is soon to take off; and oklamoni, I only wish I could see a scene like that in my lifetime. Beautiful.

On the greenhouse picture thread janie mentioned she was missing Hydrangeas.
Here in Minnesota a few years ago a new variety was introduced called 'Endless Summer'. It freezes back to the snow line every Winter, but blooms on new wood so it does pretty good here.

Nice Hydrangea Ron! I have one, that I dug out of my former yard, that is a Canadian variety. It really doesn't do that well in Oklahoma. Wonder why their landscaper put that one in.

This afternoon is the official start of the 2010 Iditarod. A gal I know was a rookie racer last year and did pretty good her first year. She managed to not lose any toes or dogs and actually enjoyed the whole experience. a couple months after the race she put on an interesting slide show here in So Calif where she grew up about her experiences. She's racing again this year. This is a photo of her. Her name is Karin Hendrickson and this year she is number 23. I hope she stays safe.
