Here's some amaryllis blooming. The color isn't true on the red one. It's really a dark blood red.

I have no idea what that crazy bird is.

I just scoured my collection of photos I took at the San Diego Wild Animal Park last summer trying to find another picture of it and nothing. I think it is some kind of African bird. It had just gotten out of the water so it was fluffing its feathers when I took the picture.

Wait until you see tomorrow's photo. It is one of the oddest birds I've ever seen. I will have to post two pictures just so you don't think I created it (alisande!) LOL

I put my point and shoot digital up to the lens of my telescope on a full moon night and after about 100 shots...got one good one...

Dave do those egrets have just one leg or is it the way they are standing that hides the other one.
