That place was one of my favorite hiking destinations in New Mexico. The shadow of the tree on the rock only happens in Summer when the sun sets in the northwest. It's about a mile hike from the road. We would go there when the moon was almost full, watch the sunset, build a fire and roast hot dogs and marshmallows, then hike back to the road by moonlight. Good times.
