Erica... If the red on that rock is what I think it is...it looks like you may have aimed your lens at that critter during his/her lunch break. No wonder he/she kept an eye on you. He/she didn't want to share. ;-) However...he/she sure is a healthy looking specimen. Most coyotes in my area usually look like they have a case of the mange...or have been on a severe diet. They're considered "outlaws" in my neck of the woods. Anne
