While posting the above I remembered a sign I saw in a national park in Southern Brazil warning of stinging caterpillars that might be found in that area. I just now looked up the species mentioned on that sign, and found that the Lonomia obliqua Caterpillar is referred to as "The World's Most Venomous Caterpillar" or "The World's Deadliest Caterpillar". It apparently is responsible for more deaths per year (3 / year) than Sharks ( 1 every other year) One lady was stung on the toe by one that was in her slipper. Four days later she lapsed into a coma due to the sting, and three days after that she died. OMG.

Cedar Creek Covered Bridge Town of Cedarburg, WI Lattice Truss Construction This bridge is framed with 3 x 10 inch pine planks secured with 2 inch diameter hardwood pins - No bolts or spikes. Retired in 1961. It is the last historic covered bridge in WI. There are a few more bridges, but these are modern and built for private enterprise or tourist attraction.

This has always been my favorite KT thread due to Casey's (and helpers) diligence in keeping it going each day. Love viewing all of the great pix of many different topics. I have to say the one that has really appealed to me today is mojomom's super shot from the deck. WooHoo! I would love to see something like that in my backyard. Instead, I look out and it's the backdoor neighbors big yellow dog over here taking a dump. I "fondly" call him Dumpster. :-) My yard guy calls him names I can't insert here. lol! Rosie

When I saw the pic of the white dog playing in the snow, it reminded me of a series of pictures indicating the snow the Canadians get used to that one of the old guys that meet for coffee at one church brought to pass around last Thursday, to put a smile or two on our faces. And we had it cold, about 15 degrees F. over the weekend, with snow and wind to push it around. When I looked out the bathroom window one morning, lots of snowflakes were going by, with their line of travel being just slightly below horizontal at their point of departure than it was at their entry point. Figured it'd be a good day to stay inside. ole joyfuelled ... with gratitude for, if not actually "fuelled" by ... furnace oil
